The overwhelming response from our customers was amazing, prompting us to ask — could this become something more than we ever imagined?

It wasn’t until November 2024 when Marco Reyes noticed the success of ERNIE’s Essential lines of pickleball paddles and our attention to detail. Shortly after, the idea for a full-fledged pickleball brand was born!

Hyrum grew up in Mesa, AZ with two major influences in his upbringing - outdoors and sports. To this day he is a strong believer in the importance of getting outside and experiencing new things every day. His passion for the pickleball sport developed in 2019 and combined with his outdoor enthusiasm would eventually blossom into MARLOSPORT, formerly known as Ernie Pickleball. He loves staying involved in the pickleball scene, spending time with his wife Hannah and playing an active role in his community, friends, and family.
